What is Day of Caring
Do you know what Day of caring is?
Day of Caring is two days out of the year that all the non-profits in NW indiana list all the things they need done in there building, office or even on their sites. Like Housing Opportunity. They have apartments and houses that need maintenance. Instead of hiring someone to fix a staircase, a company that has employees with those abilities choses that project and they go on that day and complete the task. This saves the non-profit from spending money on it and using that money on the community and it allows that company to give back and give directly to a charity.
It promotes community, team building, giving...
It means more to the people they help, then they will ever know.
There is still time to pick a project.
