I try to write regularly on
Northwest Indiana Blogs, with an eye to connecting people who may not have found each other online so far. Today I posted a ton of links, from blogs and media, and even a twitter post from the #nwindiana stream.
Hope you enjoy, and if you weren't included and have an active site, please let me know.

Use Memory Manager to easily organize, cross-reference and fine-tu…

A couple of day's ago I was changing our website and adding new updates for November. I thought something wasn't posting right so I decided to save it and do a google search to see how it came up to everyone else. So upon my search I found our company and OMG, OUR NEW SUPERVISOR??? There is a man named Steve Tailor that has my company name in NY. It states on there that he is the supervisor for C.A.T. Construction and Home Staging & Design. Now come on. You know no one else came up with that…

Selling Secrets
#10: Price it right - Don't overprice because YOU think you are the best on the block
#9: Half-empty closets - Take half the stuff out of your closets. Buyers LOVE space

Earlier in the week I posted an event which has a very personal meaning to my husband Todd and I. The vigil is
a memorial for those lost to drug addiction or those suffering the disease of addiction. As a parent I can not imagine
anyting worse than losing one of your children. From the first moment you hold them in the hospital there is a bond like no other. You plan for their future, guide them, and love them from that very first moment.
In June 2003 our nephew, Rich Perry, died from a drug ove…

Would it be a true statement.....You have insurance in place for something in your life? How often do you take the time to review each policy as things change in your life? How has your life changed in the last year? Added family members, different home, vehicle, business or employment change? Each one of these things can change each of our situations for all insurance needs.
This is one thing that I do for everyone..... customer or customer to be. It is vital for our protection that our insura…

I've been working with a coach recently and he asked me a few question that really made me look at myself and my business. He asked me "How do you want to be perceived? What do you want people to know about you or remember you for?" I had to dig a little to come up with honest, heart felt answers. He then suggested I write it out in a format I could share with my hostesses, guests and clients. I thought I'd share it here as well and hopefully inspire you to do the same for yourself and your busi…

I'm sure you all have a favorite restaurant; somewhere you know the host, manager maybe even a server or two. You have a "regular" meal you get every time. They call you by name. How did that place become your favorite?
I have a new favorite I have been to once. I know my servers name: Genesis. Will never forget it!
The place is Bravo's Cafe on Lincolnway in Osceola Indiana, just outside of Mishawaka. We went and it was packed. We waited about 20 minutes for the
ONLY host to finish taki…

My friend and I have been sharing motivational ideas for our students.. since we are both piano teachers. She lives in Michigan, and I'm in Indiana.. so we have put an interesting twist on some of them. Most of the children think it's pretty cool, so I thought maybe some of you would like to try some and see how they work for you. We have put them in competition against each other, and they think it's the greatest thing in the world to beat the other state! HOOSIER'S RULE!!! :) One of the things…
